Hartmut Frenzel
Research Scientist
PMEL Project: Global Observations of Biogeochemistry and Ocean Physics
Hartmut will be working on data management and software development for Argo floats with biogeochemical (BGC) sensors, which will be deployed by PMEL over the next few years. He has an M.Sc. degree from Heidelberg University in Germany. He started his career modeling reactive transport in groundwater, and then switched to biogeochemical ocean modeling, first at UCLA and then at UW.
Outside of work he enjoys bicycling, running, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and photography.
