Earth–Ocean Interactions

Pamela Barrett is a research scientist with the University of Washington’s Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean and Ecosystem Studies in the Earth-Ocean Interactions group at NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory in Seattle. Her research focuses on understanding the biogeochemical cycling of elements that trace interactions between the lithosphere and oceans, processes that supply micronutrients controlling ocean productivity and carbon uptake.

Pamela received her PhD in chemical oceanography from the University of Washington and completed postdoctoral appointments at the Australian National University Research School of Earth Sciences and University of Washington Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
