Downwelling Shortwave Radiation: Downwelling shortwave radiation is recorded on Kwajalein Island using the same instrumentation used on TAO moorings in the tropical Pacific and PIRATA moorings in the tropical Atlantic. Also included the shortwave file are time series of standard deviation and maximum radiation. Radiation has units of Watts per square meter and is measured at a height of approximately 3.0 meters above mean ground level. (Instrument height is shown as a negative depth in data files).
