Dear Ferreters,

does anybody have experience with importing the
GLOBAL LAND COVER CHARACTERISTICS DATA SETS 
(available from http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/landdaac/glcc/glcc.html) 
into FERRET ?
These data is in some binary format on a 1km x 1km - grid, called
Interrupted Goode Homolosine projection.

Every suggestion is gratefully appreciated !
