[ferret_users] Problem with "mp_vertical_perspective"

I'm attempting to use "mp_vertical_perspective" to create some nifty  
images, and for some reason, with a relatively low geographic  
resolution set of data, I'm getting very odd polygons:

With higher resolution data, the plot is good:

Both plots look fine with "mp_orthographic"; I've examined x_page,  
y_page and mp_mask, and they all seem reasonable.

Any ideers?
